Daddy sang bass, Mama liked opera . . .
Editor's Note: We didn't plan it this way, it just happened that this month Carie J. Delmar and I both wanted to write about someone whom we had met and had a story to tell. That both were bass singers, both met their wives at the opera and both ended up singing in Germany, well that's life. Their stories, told briefly here, serve as an example to others about the value of a good agent and how hard work and study along with a willingness to take a chance can sometimes alter one's life for the good in profound ways. And so this month, we feature THE BASS, with thanks to Carl Perkins for telling us once how "Daddy Sang Bass . . . Mama sang tenor."
